Engraved Wood Plaques

I build engraved wood plaques when a plastic award or printed frame just doesn't feel like enough. These work well for retirements, years-of-service recognition, memorials, military and first responder honors, and religious milestones like baptisms or confirmations.

I start by laying out the name, dates, rank or title, and any emblem or badge that matters to you. Then I engrave the design into solid wood, hand-paint the details for clarity, and finish it with polyurethane so it looks sharp for years on a wall, mantle, or office.

You can keep the wording formal for an awards ceremony or make it more personal for a tribute to a loved one or a fallen brother or sister. I'm happy to work from a sketch, a patch photo, or a program sheet. The goal is simple: when you hand this plaque to someone - or hang it in their honor - it feels worthy of the story behind it.
